Each class provides personal modifications and emphasizes integrating mind, body,

energy, and breathe; all within a playful, supportive environment. In addition to sequencing for an energetic effect, meditation, pranayama and a guided savasana are offered in each class. All levels of practice are welcome. 

Mindful Stretching & Gentle Yoga:    Monday 6:30pm & Thursday 4:30pm & 6:00pm

Stretching is a safe and useful activity for healthy adults that can help improve overall flexibility, neuromuscular coordination, balance and postural awareness. Consistently moving joints through their full range of motion can help decrease the risk of injury when performing activities of daily living and ease pain from chronic conditions such as back pain and osteoarthritis. 

Adding soothing yoga incorporates a slow and easy flow allowing the body, mind and spirit to relax and settle in. This class offers modifications for all levels of yoga experience. The class focuses on breathing techniques, gentle postures for stretching, easy movements for joints and all the key components to release tension.   

Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate

Style:  Hatha Yoga, Slow Yoga

Duration:  1:05 hour

Empowered Vinyasa Flow:     Monday 5:00pm 

Yoga that will get your heart pumping and muscles burning. Not bootcamp, hot, power or Buti but a flow focusing on strength and adding heat to the internal body.  Combine strength and core postures for one of the most beneficial overall hour of yoga you can get. Planks and chairs are a favorite! Expect to hold postures longer for a focus on building muscle and stamina.  

Difficulty: Intermediate, this is NOT a beginner class.
Style: Hatha / Vinyasa Yoga, focus on holding postures longer
Yoga for strengthening & toning
Duration: 1 hour

Gentle Yoga:   Monday 9:00am & Tuesday 6:00pm 

This is a special class for those working with health challenges. It allows you to focus the mind, help build strength and endurance, increase flexibility, improve posture and balance. Special attention is paid to bone health. It is designed for older adults (50+ older) who may benefit from a slower pace class with a recognition of age-related functional changes. There will even be a segment in class to help improve memory function! Newly certified in Memory Maintenance Yoga, we are thrilled to offer this as part of our classes. 


We encourage students to use props, modify poses, transition carefully, and find their appropriate balance between ease and effort. Special attention is paid to building core strength and balance. An easy joint freeing movement series is taught in classes to help loosen stiff joints. 

Difficulty:  Not difficult, true beginner class

Style:  Gentle, restorative 

Duration: 1 hour

Hips & Hamstrings:  Coming in the soon

By popular demand our mini-series is now a regular class at Joyful Yoga! This primary focus of this class is on the hips and hamstrings along with the pelvic region of the body, kindly referred to as the girdle. This area of the body connects the upper and lower half and without proper alignment our movement, flexibility, mobility and balance are compromised. 

Difficulty:  Not difficult, but deep stretching

Style: Focused content

Duration: 1 hour

Restorative Yoga & Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra® Wednesday 6:00pm

Restorative yoga is for the individual seeking the benefits of a gentle, relaxing and nourishing practice. The combination of gentle yoga movements and supported restorative postures improves range of motion and joint mobility while reducing pain and the effects of stress.  Appropriate for all experience levels of practice. 

Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that has the power to transform, heal and rejuvenate you at core levels.  Through the use of body sensing, breath awareness, guided imagery and other practices, you are systematically guided on a meditation journey through each level of your whole being.
