How you move matters for the health of your bones.
When it comes to bone health, particular attention needs to placed on certain exercises and or movements. Some movements are more beneficial than others and some should be avoided all together.
Were you aware that specific types of exercises can trigger physiological changes that can lead to stronger bones? In addition particular types of exercises can strengthen the muscles which can help to encourage stronger bones.
The Bone Health workshop discussion will focus on these 4 pillars of exercises needed for bone health are:
In addition you will learn how to adapt a general yoga practice for osteoporosis/osteopenia with a focus on core strength, posture, and balance.
The workshop will be a combination of short lecture, yoga practice to discover and explore safe movements and Q&A.
