About the event

Breathwork during a full moon is a beautiful time for your body and mind to release and let go. Full moons are associated with the processes of creation, manifestation, birth, and rebirth. Because the full moon completes the cycle, it is associated with death or change. It’s also a beautiful time to gather your wits and tie up loose ends. Essentially, the full moon represents the end of a chapter, shedding light on the things we no longer need to cling to. Come join us in the community to experience the ritual of a ceremony of self-love and care for purging and releasing through breathwork during this month's wolf full moon.  (Howling at the moon is an analogy for describing clear and heart-centered communication established with yourself first and then extended to another. The howl is the spirit of the wolf unleashed in its divine expression.)

This Breathwork technique is done lying down on your back in a comfortable position. Music will play in the background to help motivate, relax and release anything stuck. This will break you out of your same old cycle and clear out stress, anxiety, anger, depression, and just about any other unwanted negative emotion. You will know it’s working the first time you do it because how you’ll feel afterward is undeniable.

Sonya Lyn, is a Breathwork facilitator, Spiritual Life Coach, Healing Practitioner, Minister, and pranayama yoga teacher. She loves being in nature, traveling, and practicing yoga, meditation, and pranayama.  She has raised three children and loves to support teenagers and adults on the healing and transformation journey to their hearts and souls. She quickly fell in love with the results that breathwork offers, and she is passionate about sharing the power of our breath for love, light, and liberation here at Joyful Yoga. 

What to bring;

A mat, a blanket and small pillow not too thick.

A journal, pen and a water bottle.

An eye covering (eyemask) (bandana) they are also available for $5

Optional  a (sacred object)

How to prepare:

Only have a light meal or snack before, not suggested on a full stomach or if you are pregnant

Wear comfortable clothing

Yoga mat, blanket & pillows (anything to make you super comfortable)

In the event of inclement weather, reschedule date is February 1, 2024 at 6:30pm

Our guest presenters prepare well in advance for their offerings in the studio and out of respect for their time, energy and the devotion to what they offer our community, refunds for cancellations and transfers for missed events cannot be offered without at least a 72 hour notice.
